Sqiggles and Giggles
Toddler art classes with seasoned art teacher and mom Kristen Ramsey. Kristen has designed six programs specifically for the very young that includes techniques of drawing, collage, printmaking, sculpture and more!
Ages 2-4; members $5/class and non-members $10/ class

The magic of Merlin the wizard and a young King Arthur… Pizza, juice boxes and Hoodsie ice cream treats, what could be better?

It’s a Worm’s World!
Join the “Worm Ladies” Nancy Warner and Lois Fulton for an afternoon of science fun with worms. Learn how the quiet little worm helps our planet in a very BIG way!

Wind in the Willows: A 100th Birthday Celebration and Cocktail Reception

Share a delightful and informative evening with illustrator and author Mary Jane Begin as we celebrate the publication of Kenneth Graham’s classic children’s novel Wind in the Willows

Mary Jane will host a slide presentation and lecture on the history of Wind in the Willows and her newest title Willow Buds, the Tale of Toad and Badger. A book signing will follow.

This program is recommended for adults and older children (12 and up). For more information to R.S.V.P. please call Lindsay.

Willow Buds in the Afternoon

Mary Jane Begin Author and illustrator will join us again for an extra special program for children! Mary Jane will read to us from her new picture book Willow Buds, the Tale of Toad and Badger, host an activity and a book signing! This is a rare and wonderful treat so be sure to come and join in the fun!

Refreshments will follow.

Join the Zoomobile crew for this interactive program, learn about the many layered rainforest and meet a few of the creatures who call it their home.

Lanterns and Dragons, a Chinese New Year Story Hour

In China the New Year is celebrated for two weeks. This year the new year begins on February 7. That mean February 13 is roughly the midpoint of the celebration. Celebrate the Year of the Rat with mask making, and homemade lanterns.

LOOKING AHEAD TO SUMMER

Get Ready to Read! Book Worm Club and our own Summer Reading program will resume in June!

Camp Theo will be Monday mornings at 10:30 from June 29-July 27.  Ages 3-5 Dates and theme TBA.

 

Please note that for safety reasons the second level of the library is no longer open to children under the age of eight, with or without a parent.  Thank you for your cooperation with this new policy.
